The Show
Six dancers take us into a frenetic, humorous visual maelstrom. In 20 tableaux, they revisit the icons of ballet, contemporary, ballroom, sports, rhythmic, academic and acrobatic dance. It’s an ode to dance, where derision rubs shoulders with high standards. It’s an opportunity for the uninitiated to discover the great themes of dance, and for the more discerning to rediscover them in a new light, never distorted.
Each scene is a colorful surprise, transporting us into the company’s whimsical, theatrical universe. The six male performers, like chameleons, take on all the roles – over 40 characters – making us laugh, astonishing us and impressing us. But if the troupe is known for its self-mockery, it is also appreciated for its technique.
